This morning went the same way as yesterday, and after the opening ceremony of the second day of competition, it was our turn to play. The first match didn’t go very well for us, our shooter wasn’t working, so we had no choice but to play defense and move the balls into our zone as we did yesterday.
Before the next match, we removed the climbing mechanism from the robot to make it better suited for defense. The remaining two matches went similarly to the first one and unfortunately, we didn’t win any of them. As a result, our ranking dropped by more than 20 spots compared to the previous day. A
fter all three matches were played, the forming of alliances for the final matches, where teams compete for a spot in the world championship, began. Our team was currently in 32nd place, and we hoped that some alliance would pick us as a robot to pass the ball and play defense, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen, and at that moment, the competition was over for us.
We went out for lunch together, and after returning, we started cleaning up the pit and taking the robot apart.
We spent the rest of the afternoon watching the final matches and cheering on the Breck teams that advanced to them. After all the awards were presented, we headed out for a team dinner and enjoyed our last moments with the American team. That evening, everyone packed their bags, and tomorrow we’re off to the airport and home.
