Our last day of preparations started with a very large breakfast. Once more we tried some typical American breakfast meals such as bagels, cinnamon rolls, bacon, pancakes or waffles with maple syrup made in a furnace that was built with the help of some of our team members. Then we moved to Breck where our preparations from the last day continued. Although the robot was in one piece, we had a lot of work ahead of us. Programmers checked the code, scouts continued in their work from the previous day and the rest of the team focused on making bumpers. We finished the majority of the things before lunch apart from bumpers which we had to make before the school completely closed down. Thanks to the expertise of Breck mentor Mr Lampe, we successfully finished them at the end of the day. At noon Breck School surprised us with a delicious lunch again. We had pizza, nachos, salad, grapes and apple pie. Everyone appreciated the dose of new energy and with satisfaction went back to work. In the evening we worked on the bumpers and prepared for the load-in. Five members attended the load-in, the rest returned to their families for another evening of fascinating activities. Some flew in a plane owned by one of the parents, others tasted Mexican fast-food Chipotle or made homemade pizza. Despite these fun activities, we had to go to sleep early in order to be fresh for the competition that was about to start the next day.
