Looking back at 2026

The season has ended and we’re slowly getting used to life in Prague. This post-america period is the ideal time to reflect on the past couple of months, what worked, what didn’t and what we can improve going into 2027.
The first thing we must change is how our code is developed. Next year, we’ll focus more on making a simple code that works 110% of the time, and only later work on the “Smart code” that does everything automatically.
We’ll also try and organize a practice field somewhere in Prague, so that we can test our robot in “competition condition” (or at least something that resembles them) much sooner.
During the off-season (that is, the rest of 2026), we’ll not only be going to as many outreach events as we can, but also building a base for next year’s robot. We’re assuming that we’ll need an elevator, and since that was a big challenge for us two years ago, we’ll try and make one bright and early to troubleshoot anything that might not be working.
This season wasn’t all bad, of course. We greatly enjoyed our trip to the US, we learned a lot and made some great friends with the same passion for robotics. We also got to celebrate our sister-team qualifying to the World Championship thanks to the Impact award and gather some inspiration for our presentation next year.
Even if this season wasn’t quite what we hoped it would be, we’re happy with how it turned out in the end and we can’t wait for what robotics has in store for us next year!
