Week 1 + 2

During the week after kickoff, we were mostly dicussing the strategy that would lead us to most points gained. At the same time, we started prototyping the climber and intake mechanisms. After some testing, we agreed how to upgrade these prototypes and we started putting the robot into CAD.

During the weekend, we were able - thanks to the CAD models - to lay down the schematics of the chassis. We also finished a fully functional prototype of the climber mechanism. On Saturday, we started calculating the ballistics of the balls and building the chassis (which is much smaller than during past years). At the end of the day, we dismantled Josef, so that we could use the electronics on the new robot. On Sunday, we finished building the chassis and we were able to start preparing the electronics.

The second week of the build season was spend in the quarantine, so we had to cancel all of the meetings, so we were working on the 3D models and 3D prints instead, so that we could start building again next week.
