A busy first weekend

Much like the last, this weekend was was action-packed. The programmers fixed all the software bugs we encountered while coding the chassis, so we are now capable of both autonomous and teleoperated driving! As for autonomous - we can place the first game-piece in under 2.5 seconds!
We've also programmed a dashboard to display the robot's position within the field, so we can see in real time if the robot is doing what it's supposed to do. Next, we will be working on our camera's code.
The mechanical team has completed the elevator design. The retracted elevator is just over 70 cm tall with a maximum extension of about 1.8 m. This year, we're minimising weight, so the elevator is only 13 cm wide with a majority of 3d printed components.
We've already make the second prototype of the intake (this one is no longer made of wood), which we will use to figure out the correct angle of the mechanism.
Finally, we made a wooden Reef, one of the crucial elements on the field, on which we will test our robot when time comes.
